About the consortium
The project consortium is a partnership between eight research institutions and 25 cooperation partners, hosted by the ETH Zurich as leading house.
Prof. Andre Bardow (ETH Zurich) is the project director, and Christian Schaffner (ETH Zurich) is the deputy director. Lea Ruefenacht is the project manager. The organizational structure of the consortium PATHFNDR is comprised of the following bodies:
The advisory board (AB) is an external guiding body of the consortium. It is comprised of experts from the academic, private and public sectors, locally and internationally. The AB is appointed by the steering committee (upon suggestion from the executive board) and led by the director or deputy director. The main responsibility is to provide guidance to the consortium and facilitate the collaboration with the industrial partners.
The executive board (EB) is the operative body of the consortium. It is comprised of one or two leaders per work package and the project manager. The EB is led by the director or deputy director. The main responsibility is to plan, execute and monitor the scientific and technical developments.
The principal investigators (PIs) are the executing body of the consortium. They are comprised of professors and senior researchers from the field of energy stemming from various research institutions. The PIs are led by the respective work package leaders. The main responsibility is to conduct research activities and monitor the quality of research results.
The research team (RT) is the executing body of the consortium. It is comprised of a team of principal investigators and researchers from the field of energy stemming from various research institutions. The RT is led by the respective work package leaders. The main responsibility is to take conduct research activities.
